SET APART

Acts 13:1-3

2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. 

From the moment Jesus launched his church, he has set apart people in every generation to advance the Kingdom of God into every nation around the world. As we have learned in Acts, God’s Spirit is calling and empowering God’s People to unleash God’s Movement. Jesus set apart the disciples, the disciples set apart Barnabas, Barnabas set apart Paul, Paul set apart Timothy in 2 Timothy 2 and challenged him to “1 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” He goes on to challenge Timothy and everyone of us to be a legacy teacher, good soldier, disciplined athlete, and hardworking farmer.

This Set Apart Series is for everyone who desires to be a leader at any level for the Kingdom of God. Whether at home, at school, at work…leadership is influence, and we can all make an impact throughout our city and all over the world, Jesus is calling us to be set apart for His Kingdom and His glory.
